The 19XPC, because of its efficient chip discharge system, synchronized feed system, powerful chain driven feed system and heavy-duty drum, will chip using less energy, which means that you will use less fuel and while being able to choose a lower horsepower, less-costly engine, if that is your desire.
Powerful, Energy-Efficient Chip Discharge System
The unique deep chip pockets provide tremendous throwing power. The drum side blower paddles, adjustable side vents, unique transitions and discharges, and patented power slot all increase the chip throwing power fully loading chip trucks and reducing the chances of plugging. Which is one of the reasons that the 19XPC is about 30% more energy efficient than competitive 19″ capacity chippers. The transition, along with fan blades, combines to discharge chips at maximum velocity.
Power Options
The engine or power unit provides all of the power needed to run the chipper and the hydraulic functions of the chipper. Because Bandit offers such a wide variety of engine options from all of the major engine manufacturers, the customer can select the power unit that best suits his specific needs from a performance standpoint as well as a service standpoint.
Heavy-Duty Chipper
The heart of a hand-fed chipper is the chipper drum and housing. The Bandit 19” capacity models are equipped with:
• 37” diameter x 22” wide drum
• 4 standard knife pockets
• 3-½” diameter chipper shaft at hub
• Heavy-duty drum construction with individual plates welded into baffles and side plates
• 2-15/16” pillow block chipper roller bearings[/expand]
Dual Feed Wheel System and Wide Infeed Openings
Bandit’s Model 19XPC is equipped with a slide box style feed system. The top feed wheel is 25” wide by 15-¾” inch diameter and the bottom feed wheel is 25” wide by 10-5/8” in diameter. The top feed wheel is chain driven adding extra pulling power and both feed wheels have 63.9 cubic inch displacement motors. The total system combined generates 10,824 pounds of pulling power.
These powerful dual feed wheel systems have the ability to pull and crush whole trees into the chipper. The large diameter wheels make it easy to chip large diameter material and multiple stems. It also makes it easy to feed larger diameter material and chip trees with multiple limbs, reducing the need for trimming.
