Bandit’s Model 2090 has similar features as the 20XP, but what separates these two machines apart is the pulling power as the 2090 features dual top feed wheel motors compared to the 20XP’s single top feed wheel motor and a larger diameter feed wheel. These combinations give the 2090 greater pulling power to pull larger diameter material, including tops into the chipper feed system. Available as tow-behind only.
[Chip Whole Trees, Tops & Piles of Brush With Limited Prep]The 2090 efficiently handles tops and forked limbs because of the chipper’s large throat opening and Bandit’s powerful, proven Slide Box Feed System. This system features dual horizontal feed rollers that are 32” wide. The top feed wheel is 27″ in diameter while the bottom feed wheel is 10.625″ diameter, making the unit easier to feed material into the chipper with minimal repositioning. [Excels at Chipping Large Diameter Materials]
The powerful feed system is powered by (3) 63.9 CID Hydraulic motors and the top feed wheel is chain driven giving this unit approximately 12,916 pounds of pulling power. The standard hydraulic lift cylinder, in addition to side mounted down pressure springs provide 5,760 pounds of down pressure to crush material as it enters the feed wheels. [Efficiently Load Material]
The 2090 features a 41″ high x 64″ wide infeed hopper. Since this machine is also offered for larger tree services that may be hand feeding it, the unit comes standard with an operator control bar. To further assist with loading material onto the hopper, an optional 5 1/2′ infeed conveyor is available (note when the conveyor is ordered, the unit shall not be hand-fed). [Discharge Options] The standard discharge is a 270 degree hydraulic rotation which is best utilized for broadcasting chips over a site. For those wanting addition chip throwing velocity, it is recommended to order the optional forestry discharge. [Optional Loader]
For those desiring a loader mounted on the 2090, a loader manufactured by Kesla is available as an option and provides 360 degree rotation, 1,620 pounds of lifting capacity at full reach and 2,500 pounds of pulling power.
