Extremely Versatile
The Model 2650 is highly versatile. Customers are using this unit for a variety of applications, including backyard stump removal, lot clearing, and large contract stump removals. The 8” wide flotation tires make the unit stable and give the Model 2650 great flotation, allowing it to traverse all types of terrain. The tires provide a low footprint, limiting damage to lawns, while providing stability and flotation for traveling to the stump or grinding on uneven terrain.
Durable Hydrostatic Drive System
The 2650 features a hydrostatic cutter wheel drive system. This system dramatically reduces the maintenance costs typically associated with a grinder of this size. This hydrostatic system is extremely reliable and eliminates drive belts, bearings, jack shafts, and the many parts associated with those systems. The cutter wheel is engaged by hitting a switch on the remote control or control panel, delivering power directly to the cutter wheel with virtually no parasitic power loss. The 2650’s superior hydrostatic drive system makes it extremely productive and reliable, providing years of service with reduced maintenance costs.
Heavy-Duty Construction
The Model 2650 features all-steel welded construction, ensuring longevity and low maintenance costs. The total weight of this unit is around 3,820 pounds, meaning the unit is well constructed. All Bandit stump grinders feature heavy-duty control valves that last. Many competitive units are known for using valves that wear quickly, leading to costly repairs and downtime. All Bandit manual control grinders are equipped with these heavy-duty control valves ensuring years of dependable service.
Cutter Wheel Options
The Model 2650 features a 21″ diameter x 1-¼” thick cutter wheel, either as Bandit wheel with Greenteeth or a New Revolution wheel with hex teeth. Cutting dimensions include a cutter swing of 69”, a cutting depth of 18.5”, and a cutting height of 33”.
Grading Blade (optional)
Available on the Model 2650, a 35” or 53” wide grading blade helps simplify the clean-up process after grinding.
Remote Control/Tether (optional)
The Model 2650 is available with an optional tether and remote controls.
Individual Drive Motors
The variable speed drive system includes a 3459cc hydraulic drive motor with brakes providing maximum drive power for traveling up hills and chip piles. These motors will also hold the unit in place while grinding, which is especially effective as the chip pile gets larger or grinding progresses. The travel speed can be adjusted via a control knob located on the unit, allowing the operator to easily set the desired speed during travel or grinding. The 4×4 drive system provides individual drive motors on each drive wheel compared to competitive units that use a single drive motor to the drive axle.
Backyard Stump Grinding
The 2650 excels as a backyard stump grinder because of its narrow width and great maneuverability. The 2650 easily fits through a 36” wide gate by removing the dual drive wheels.
